A Landscape Reborn

With the formal expansion of the Stiperstones Landscape National Nature Reserve—part of the prestigious King’s Series of NNRs—we have tripled our commitment to this land. We are no longer just protecting what remains; we are actively inviting nature back.

From the deep carbon-storing peat of the bogs to the "stepping stone" meadows that allow butterflies to migrate across the Onny Valley, this is a story of hope. It is a story about what happens when a community decides to become the architects of its own environment.

A Note on the Lens

The images will be taken over several seasons, often involving long hours of waiting in the shadows. My philosophy is one of "minimal disturbance." Whether using remote triggers to capture a Curlew at its nest or crouching in a freezing ditch to catch the first light hitting a frosted hawthorn, the aim is to show the Stiperstones as it is when we aren't there—vibrant, resilient, and utterly wild.

Welcome to the ridge. Welcome to the home of the Guardians.
